As you might have guessed, this blog is about pickles.  More often than not, it’s going to be about pickles I’ve made.  It all started with a cucumber and a dream.  Or some brine and a Ball jar?  Or maybe it started with a certain fellow who makes cheese.  In any event, this is about exploring a love of preserving and pickling, of cooking and eating, of fixing drinks and drinking them.  Many people will tell you the kitchen is the heart of the home.  Ours skips a beat every time I get out the pickling spice.
